welcome to fbcokc!
We hope you'll join us and be involved in the community of First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City. It is the desire of our ministry that people have an intimate encounter with God through worship each week. FBCOKC is a safe place to come be who you are. All are welcome to bring their beliefs, doubts, questions, joys and struggles and find a home here at FBCOKC. We believe God meets us right where we are and speaks to us in ways that we can understand.

What To Expect
We invite you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings. All the elements—congregational worship, scripture reading, sermons, and choir music—combine and move us together toward a common theme. Each week is different from the last. Our goal in a service is for the Spirit to speak to each heart so that we are all moved to worship and serve God fully. The music at FBCOKC embraces the best traditions of our past as well as the contemporary music of today. Style is not as important as content. Whether we are singing a familiar hymn or a chorus written in recent days, it is the desire of our ministry that people have an intimate encounter with God through worship each week.

Where To Go
Our building occupies nearly an entire city block, with several entrances. The information below will help you find parking and the best entrance into the building.
North Parking Lot
There are two entrances on the north side.
One is under the portico and is a great entrance for those with children. Enter the glass door and take the elevator to the first floor. You'll exit the elevator and turn right through the children's area to reach the sanctuary.
Alternatively, you may enter the doors directly behind the playground and go straight ahead through the second set of doors and up the stairs. The sanctuary will be down the hallway and on your left, through the large open area called The Commons.

South Parking Lot
Park in the lot on the south side of 11th street, just across from the church. Enter at the double doors under the green awning. There is an elevator just inside the doors to your left, or stairs to your right, to get you to the first floor. Once you are on the first floor, you will see a large, open room called The Commons, as well as our Welcome Center. This is the entry to our sanctuary.
SPECIAL NOTE: These doors open to the front of the sanctuary. If you are uncomfortable entering at the front of the room, please follow directions to enter from the east side.

East Entrance
Enter off Robinson by walking up either of the large staircases situated at Robinson and NW 11th. You will enter directly into the vestibule of the sanctuary.
Welcome Center
Our Welcome Center is located in The Commons. This is the perfect "first stop" for first-time guests. A greeter will welcome you, share some information about the church, and can point you in the right direction for Bible Study or Worship. If you have any questions about our church, this is the place to go to get all your answers.

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THIS CHURCH FAMILY?
But how do I join?
You have some options. You are invited to walk down front during our invitation at the end of our worship services. You are also welcome to visit with one of our ministers if you would like to make public your decision another way.
Why should I join?
Joining a church is a lot like joining a family. You are becoming part of a fellowship of people who are on a journey together. You are committed to the relationship and to the common goal of living life in Christ.
- By public profession of faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, followed by baptism.
- By transfer of church membership from another Baptist church.
- By statement of faith from a church who professes salvation by faith and believers baptism.
