To love one's neighbor as much as one's self, within the love of God, is the basis for God's law. If you come from another country, we are here to help you. Whether you are a student, refugee, immigrant, scholar, business person, or have some other title, we are here to welcome all global peoples. We offer you language classes, cultural orientation, Bible studies, and new friends that celebrate who you are. When you are with us, you will be loved, and you will be free to explore all aspects of life and faith, without pressure to change anything. What we currently offer: United Myanmar Baptist Church (UMBC) This is a Burmese speaking congregation. They meet each Sunday at 10:00am on the Second Floor of the Main Building at First Baptist Church. Enter First Baptist Church from the 11th Street Entry. Take the stairs or elevator to the second floor. Go left through the doors. The Chin Church will be down the hall on the left. ESL opportunities available all week through our church's language lab. New Hispanic Ministry Carlos Simonini, a native Argentine who is fluent in Spanish and English, is leading our new ministry among Hispanics. This work, driven by relationships, is just getting started. Stay tuned to the church calendar for events, and this web page for developments. Lai Baptist Church The members of the Lai Baptist Church are Hakha, from the Chin State in the country of Burma. Currently, this is a home based fellowship that gathers each Sunday morning at 9:30am. Sudanese Christian Fellowship The Sudanese Christian Fellowship gathers for worship each Sunday from 3:30 to 6:00pm, in Hobbs 218. Enter through the glass doors underneath the carport on the north side of the church. Take the elevator to the second floor. The room is up the hall on the right.
